Check Your Sump Pump – With heavy rain and melting snow, your basement is at risk of flooding. To make sure your sump pump is working properly, pour a bucket of water in the pit to activate your system. This will help clean the line of any debris. Want to take it a step further? Use a vinegar mixture through the pump to remove any mold or mildew that’s built up.

Our Spring Plumbing Checklist may seem like quite a bit, but it will be worth it when you aren’t worried about longer, warmer days, and are spending your time making plans with friends and family – not your leaking or broken pipes. By following these spring-weather plumbing tips, you and your pipes have a higher chance of dodging costly repair expenses. The experts at T.J. Huggard are fully licensed and insured to help with any of your plumbing needs. If you need any help performing these tips or would like preventative services like hydro jetting, drain and sewer cleaning services or want to learn more, give T.J.
